Education for Underprivileged Children
Objective: To provide free education to children from the underprivileged section of society through educational institutes and schools across the country.
Activities:
- Operating free school at Vasantek, Dhaka Cantonment and financing the education and educational tools in different institutes across the country.
- Financing girl child education.
- Provide scholarships for talented students who can’t afford schooling.
- Partnering with other NGOs for education and welfare of autistic children.
Food For Poor & Homeless People
A. Project Objectives:
- Provide free Nutritional Meals: Ensure that the poorest people, including the homeless, receive healthy and sufficient meals daily.
- Community Engagement: Involve the local community in preparing, distributing, and raising awareness about food insecurity.
- Promote Dignity: Offer food without stigmatizing the recipients, maintaining their dignity.
B. Target Population:
- Homeless Individuals: People living on the streets with no access to regular meals.
- Low-Income Families: Families struggling to meet basic nutritional needs.
- Elderly and Disabled: Those with limited mobility or income, making it difficult to access food.
- Underprivileged children of different educational institutes and orphanages.
C. Program Design:
- Meal Preparation and Distribution
- Partner with Local Kitchens: Partner with local restaurants, community kitchens, or shelters to prepare nutritious meals.
- Volunteer Engagement: Recruit volunteers to help with food preparation, packaging, and distribution.
- Mobile Distribution: Set up mobile food vans or use community centers to distribute meals at regular intervals.
D. Food Types:
- Balanced Meals: Focus on providing balanced meals with proteins, vegetables and carbohydrates.
E. Distribution Points:
- Identify central location where food will be distributed regularly such as gatherings of homeless people near bus stops, railway stations, underpasses etc.
- Different educational institutes and orphanages.
Providing Warm Clothing
Objective: To provide warm clothing to the needy, poor and homeless people at the winter months.
Activities:
- Distribution of blankets, winter clothes and accessories to the needy, poor and homeless people during winter.
Disaster Relief Programme
Objective: To help communities in Bangladesh prepare for and recover from natural disasters like floods and cyclones.
Activities:
- Insaniyat Society raises disaster relief fund and distributes aids such foods, shelter, clothing, clean water and medicine directly and in collaboration with partner entities during natural calamities and natural disasters.
Medical & Healthcare Assistance
Objective: To provide healthcare and medical assistance to the underprivileged, women and elderly segments of the society.
Activities:
- The Insaniyat Society finances free healthcare and medical and surgical services to the poor, homeless and female segment of the society through partner organizations in hospital services and eye-camp centers.
- The Insaniyat Society partners with other NGOs to maintain an old-age home for the eldering people of the society.
